Flooring Buyers Guide & Product Information

At Evalution, we want you to love your purchase. The information below is intended to help you choose the right product and ensure you're delighted with the finished result.

Product Images

We make every effort to ensure our product images accurately represent each item. However, colours, textures and finishes may appear slightly different due to lighting during photography, manufacturing variations and differences between computer, tablet and mobile device screens.

Product images should therefore be used as a guide only.

Shade & Pattern Variation

Many of our products are intentionally designed with natural or handcrafted variation to create a more authentic appearance.

Depending on the product, variations in colour, shade, pattern, texture or surface detailing may occur and are considered part of the product's design rather than a defect.

Where applicable, this information will be noted on the individual product page.

Multi-Face Tiles

Many patterned and vintage-style tiles are manufactured using multiple unique print designs, known as "faces."

For example, a tile described as having 5 Faces means there are five different designs and colours randomly packed throughout the boxes. This intentional variation creates a more natural, handcrafted appearance and prevents obvious repetition once installed.

Please note: Individual tile faces may vary in both pattern and tone. Some faces may appear lighter or darker than others as part of the intended design. This variation creates the authentic character of the finished installation and is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Website images, room scenes and samples are intended to demonstrate the overall look and feel of the finished product. Due to the random nature of multi-face tiles, it is not possible for these images or a single sample to display every tile face contained within a production run.

Natural Materials

Products manufactured from natural materials such as timber, bamboo, stone and terrazzo will naturally vary in colour, grain, veining and texture.

These variations are part of the beauty and uniqueness of natural products and should be expected.

Before Installation

Please inspect all products carefully before installation.

We recommend opening several boxes and dry-laying flooring before installation to ensure you are happy with the overall blend, shade variation and layout.

If you believe there is a manufacturing defect or you have any concerns, please contact us before installation so we can assist.

Ordering Your Tiles

To minimise natural batch variation, we recommend ordering sufficient material to complete your project in a single order.

If additional tiles are ordered at a later stage, slight differences in shade between production batches may occur if a different batch needs to be supplied.

Please also note that different production batches may have slight nominal size and colour variations within the manufacturer's tolerances.

Professional Installation

To achieve the best possible result, we recommend using an experienced installer who is familiar with the specific product you've purchased.

For vinyl flooring, we're happy to provide installation guidelines and, where possible, recommend experienced vinyl installation contractors in your area.

For tiles, we don't recommend specific tilers, as we believe the best choice is someone who has been personally recommended to you or has a proven track record of quality workmanship. We encourage customers to view previous projects, check reviews where available and choose an installer they feel confident in.

If you have any questions before installation, our team is always happy to provide product advice and guidance.

Samples

If you are unsure about the colour, finish or texture of a product, we recommend ordering a sample before placing your full order.

Viewing a sample in your own space and lighting can help ensure you're completely happy with your choice.

Please note that a single sample cannot represent every face of a multi-face tile collection.

Delivery & Transport

Our transport charges include delivery and offloading at the closest point that the delivery vehicle can safely access.

For safety and insurance reasons, drivers are unable to carry products into garages, homes, apartments, offices or storage areas. Labour for moving products beyond the delivery point is not included in the transport charge, unless requested and we're able to assist. This will not always be possible due to location.

Please ensure suitable assistance is available on site to move your order after delivery.

Returns & Claims

Please inspect your order upon delivery and prior to installation.

Once products have been installed, they are deemed to have been accepted. As installation permanently alters the product, we are unable to consider claims relating to appearance, shade, pattern, size or finish after installation unless a manufacturing defect has been identified.
